Dear Members,
We are pleased that Theresa May's swift appointment as Prime Minister has, to some extent, reduced the period of uncertainty. However, the UK's decision to leave the EU has raised many questions and will have as yet unknown political and economic consequences, not to mention a real impact on human resources in many multicultural businesses. The new Government should now look to maintain the rights of EU nationals living and working in the UK as they are critical to the UK's economic well-being.
One of the Chamber's core missions is to provide a platform for exchange and networking for Franco-British businesses, and this is especially important in these uncertain times. We are in the process of reshaping our course of action in order to be responsive to current affairs. This will start with the next issue of INFO focusing on the impact of Brexit on businesses. If you wish to contribute to the issue, please don't hesitate to contact our Head of Publications & Content. We are also currently working on a series of dedicated events, as well as Forum and Club sessions to tackle the subject. A complete calendar will be sent to you shortly.
In the meantime, I encourage you to read the exclusive interview of the French Ambassador to the UK on Brexit, in the latest issue of INFO.
I look forward to seeing you soon and, in the meantime, wish you a great summer.
Best regards,
Florence Gomez
Managing Director
